Last year I was about 8 leagues and I was focused on the design of RBS strong in the first 2 rounds. Then I tried to draw Antonio Gates in the third round because he was basically a starting WR. If didn 't get the gates that I got a WR instead. In the fourth round that I would have tried to obtain a WR, burress to plaxico is usually the selection. Then in the fifth round I took a QB, usually being Romo. in the rest of the draft, I just selected points higher to fill my role. He settled well enough last year for me. But I was just curious about some other people 's strategies in the design.

Well this year there are talented receivers going late in the draft so stic with getting RBs and QBs in the first two rounds. This is because all of the good QBs dont last until the fourth round this year because of all of the so called “experts” telling people to get them early. Look to get receivers and a good TE in the 5-10 round. beleive me good TEs and receivers will still be available

Well, I have to say that your strategy is pretty solid, but I would suggest adapting to your draft as you go. If people are buying the “draft QBs early in 2008” theory, then waiting on a QB might be the best move. I am not preaching going after QBs early in 2008. I think that there is a point when QBs become attractive, but I wouldn’t force the issue. It is true that there is a lot of depth at RB, but that doesn’t mean quality depth. There are some RBs at the top of this year’s draft that look fantastic. I would say about 10 or 11 guys look pretty solid at RB. After that, there are some fantastic top flight WRs too. If you are looking for a QB early, Drew Brees could provide some nice value because he can be had after Romo in many drafts. Brees has all of the potential and targets that Romo possesses, but many people don’t see him as a better option because he plays for a worse team. Hey this is fantasy! Forget the team record and give me the gaudy stats. One thing I have noticed in 2008 is that you can hold off on TEs. They do not have the value that they once did. There is quality TE depth all the way to about 15 guys deep! When each team only needs to carry 1 TE as a starter, that means there will be loads of TE value to be had. Hold off of defenses and kickers too and you will have a solid draft.

Well first off, you have to look at your league scoring to see if it favors any position or whatever. But as a default scoring league, I go with the best players available first, then get the best running backs available, then wide receivers, and I don’t have a set in stone time when I get my QB’s. That all depends on how the draft goes. And then somewhere in there I usually get the 4th or 5th best tight end. And I generally don’t care what kicker I get, and I try to get an underrated defensive team that I predict will do great the upcoming year. This strategy has worked pretty great for me the past few years.
