That question is kind of hard to answer…
Like my man said above check out NFL.com
I believe it doesnt matter if you watched one game or one thousand games, you should know what kind of Football keeps you coming back….
I like AFC style football because I like the Working Man approach they have. Like the Steelers, The old school Raiders, The Phins, The new era Pats(when they dont cheat!!!). I like to Run first Pass second- Offense and Defence!! On defense; if you can Dominate the Run you make your opponent one dementional. Its all a chain reaction, but the strongest link is the Running Game. Most teams who use this philosophy end up doing good against the pass mostly due to the Defensive fronts pressure, the front seven… Hence my favorite teams the Jags, Dolphins, and who i think is going to win the Super Bowl next year The Chargers…

The plays all depnds on the talent you have at each position. You also have to stay balanced. Not too many runs or too many passes. Some basic run plays are: gut-right up the middle, lead-no fullback and usually up the middle, stretch-run to the outside or can cut back inside, pitch- a pitch to the ouside, draw- the qb drops back like he is going to pass and hands it off the the running back, reverse-the running back runs one way and gives the ball to the reciever to run another way, qb draw- in short yardage situations the qb will run the ball strait up the middle, qb boot- the quarterback will run to the outside, option- this is an offense that may consist of runningbacks, quarterback and sometimes fullback and reciever. this is very unpredictable because no one knows who will run with the ball. most of the time the runningback gets the ball, i just gave you these plays to keep you aware of them. some pass plays- all the eligable recievers will run a route. theses are the routes. strait down field for deep ball., run strait to get ball quickly usually in the slot., screen- blockers run in front of the reciever to block people so the reciever can go get yards., post- run strait then make a quick turn. flat- run across in the backfield. crossing pattern- run a crossing pattern. slant- run in a slant to get the ball quickly with a running start. routes may get more complex and make combinations of these routes. the offensive line will usually block strait ahead but may sometimes motion around for screens and outside running plays. positions jobs- qb- pass, sometimes run. rb-run,block,catch. wr-catch,block. te-block, catch. t-block. g-block. c-block,snap ball. The plays greatly vary from college to the nfl.

everyone is making this way to complicated. go buy a madden or ncca football game and play it. or just watch more games. most people dont study the game, they just pick things up

The best football is power football. Concentrate on the run.

For the most part, think of the line as the same on both sides (left and right of center).

The running back runs in between the lineman.the gaps between the offensive linemen are numbered. Starting on the left side, the gap between the center, and guard is number 1 hole. The gap between the left guard and tackle is 3…and so on. The right side is set-up the same way, but these gaps are even numbered (2,4, etc).

If you are the quarterback, and wanted the back to run through the gap between the center and left guard, you would (assuming you’re playing sandlot) call for the back the run through the 1 hole.

This not only tells the back, where to run, but also tells the linemen to block the defensive players in opposite directions from the middle of the #1 hole, to give the running back the most space in which to run.

This gives you the idea, but most of the basics are in books, and websites.

There’s got to be a football for dummies, or for beginners.

    Hope this helps.
